@MartyG , that is some nice looking wood.  Good to hear that nobody got hurt, and no property damage now, and in the future.

First off, I gotta say that there have been some OUTSTANDING cook-ups, so far!  Keep up the inspiration.  :D :D

I got nothing fancy for my Day 3 contribution.  It was a bachelor day, as the wife was working.
I decided to cook-up the very last remaining package from THIS stuff.  Some venison tenderloin.  :D

I like to keep plenty of el dente potatoes on hand, as they don't require as long to cook.
Got the 18" OTG fired up to warm up the taters, then cranked the heat to cook the venison.
The pieces appeared to have 3 sides to each piece, so it was 2 minutes a side done direct.

Just some fresh cracked Himalayan pink salt, and fresh cracked pepper on the pieces.
I let it rest after it was done for about 5 minutes.  It turned out to be medium-rare, with most of it being on the medium side. Delicious!

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Finally remembered to take some pics mid cook. The last two nights I didn't think of it until I was cleaning up. Anyway.....steak and taters, because that's the kind of guy I am.

Cooked almost perfect. They just melted in your mouth

This isn't technically my grub, but I'm the one cookin it!

I'm smokin these for friends that promised pulled pork for a party they are helping host. They were quickly running out of time, and I didn't want them to Crock Pot them to death.

These will be pulled tomorrow, after reheating them in the oven, so this will probably be the only pic.

Generously rubbed with "Rub Some Butt" Carolina style rub.

Does it count if I forgot to take the pic until the kabobs were plated?

Threw together some quick burgers for me, my wife & granddaughter.  Bacon on the stovetop in the house, my wife made salads. I seasoned some onion slices with Magic Dust & roasted them too.  Added some Sticky Fingers Memphis Original & swiss cheese to mine & my wife's, my granddaughter got a slice of American.

That Kettle came from you, Aristocrat is on deck for tomorrow.

Special treat tomorrow, I get to meeting a local WKCer as a result of me putting an item for sale on CL.  I forget his tag but his name is Joel from Auburn Hills

Kabobs night at the bay, some pre-made - some home made - some good some great. My favorite where some cajun spice chicken and sausage with onions and green peppers. We had every thing from basic veggies to custom combinations with secret rubs. Good times - good drinks - happy Friday!

I only managed to get one photo with my wife's phone as I left my phone at the house.

Breakfast will be hitting the grill tomorrow morning followed by a 4th of July feast in our backyard. I'll be firing up the JJ and the 26 to get it all done. Pictures to come.

Good looking stuff from everyone else! I need those mini dutch ovens!!

Dinner was a little late due to some rain and a nap. I made blue cheese stuffed flank steaks and beef short ribs with Montreal Steak seasoning. Grilled indirect on the Jumbo Joe. The kid cleaned every bit of meat off of the rib bones.

Back to the pork butt. Here are the veggies sautéing in bacon grease: sweet onion, red/yellow/orange bell peppers, whole head of garlic, and 3 each green jalapeño, red jalapeño, and habanero.

Before the drip beans went down in the basement

Coming off, double wrap in heavy duty foil and into the cooler for an hour. Beans are still cooking.

More later. Great looking grub today. Everyone, all around, pulling out the guns!
