I just realized my chimney is at Hoss's so lunch is on the stove. Armadillo eggs made up as a side for dinner later.

Just walk over, buddy ….  :D ;)  Yeah, my breakfast was on the stove too.

Weekend weather looks "delightful" … To quote mrsHoss.  8) ;) ;)  Or, was it Hoss?  Can't remember.  ??? ???

Hoss was kind enough to run it over ive got coals in it now for hotdogs and armadillo eggs

Somebody looks to be gearing up, eh Tim?

You bet! Our towns parade goes past our house so we have people over. I have 60 burgers and 48 dogs to grill. Hopefully I don't need to cook them all. lol

Just realized that I did not post lunch pics. Weather was crappy and neither the wife or I was really hungry after breakfast so I borrowed a recipe from Idahawk. Cooked on the Smokey Joe that is soon to be a planter for the wife as I had a surprise Smokey Joe delivery today from her.

Highly recommended...everyone should make this!!

This entry will not win any prizes, but it truly defines cooked, fried, toasted, baked and burnt. All words that describe how I feel after some heavy lifting today. We had two major league dead trees taken down, (and one live one) and it was my wife and I assigned to cleanup. (Whose idea was that?) Well, the tree guy did cut everything to fireplace length thank god! Both trees were over 100 years old, the larger one 27" at the cut line.

Started stacking yesterday while the beans were cooking away on the WSM

It was BIG oak (smoking wood for everyone!) and leaning toward our house. Needless to say, it had to go.

The next one was actually two - he had to cut one to make room for the big one to fall. Lucky us - more stacking!

So no entry today, but I'll be back tomorrow for something simple, and again Sunday for something fun. Then on to splitting...
