New members are obligated to offer their first posted kettle to a club member of the same age as the kettle posted. That would be me. All kidding aside, I would love to find a '56 someday. We all know they're out there. This just happens to be the most recent evidence. I need to get a better photo of the vent once you clean everything up. I'm collecting photos of as many vents as I can, and would love a Chicago IL vent in high res. PM me for instructions when you can.

Welcome.

Very nice. '56 was a good year   ;D

Enjoy it!

So Marty, does this mean I raised my hand first?    ;D 8)

Dude, relax your chicken.

Sorry dazzo - the fine print reads: members with fewer than 100 posts are not eligible.  ;)

MARTY I WILL GET YOU A PIC OF TBE GRILL VENT WHEN I CLEAN IT
i almost have all my grails but waiting for that yellow to miraculously appear maybe in ny.

MartyG

Thanks. I need one at least 1200 x 1200 pixels of the entire vent, with at least a half inch of space around it. Use the macro setting if you can, and try to avoid direct sunlight or shadows. Whatever you can do that's close is much appreciated.

Ah, yes, had to put my glasses on   :o

Yeah - I know the feeling, but use a little windex those bi-focals and get busy. There's at least 100 of us that NEED to see this grill returned to it's rightful duties. You CANNOT take too many pictures of this one.

With a K and i need to see this in person to verify it (yea that's it ;D)  very nice score all the way around.  Very cool as it was the original owner!

You are welcome to use this one from my picture stash if you like Marty. I tried cropping it for you.

Explain that tab Duke.  It looks adhered to the vent instead of portruding from the edge like in Zorks picture and like the typical vent tab we know.
