Ribeye Tomorrow Night
« on: March 07, 2017, 06:25:50 PM »
Decided the first cook on the new OTG is going to be reverse sear ribeyes with steamed broccoli and garlic herb red skin potatoes.

Salted both sides and in the fridge overnight on a rack.

I'll do my best to take pics throughout. More to come.

Yessir. SnS with Stubbs. I'll take them to 120 then sear. Probably run 2 kettles. One for veggies and one for beef.

So the wind here in central Ohio is insane! 50+ mph gusts. Got a half chimney of Stubbs lit and the steaks on indirect. 90 degrees so far.

The Toddler didn't nap today so to save time the lovely wife steamed the broccoli and red potatoes. The sear chimney is almost fully lit. More to come.

Wind has been fierce here too. Steaks look flipping perfect!  The sear area of the sns looks larger than what I get with baskets. Nice one [emoji3][emoji106]

Thanks Mr Hoosier.  It is a nice searing area with the SnS. A great investment in my book.

Oh my.... Love me some Rib Eye!!!

Looks amazing!!  Good Job!!!
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

If you're on the fence Travis just pull the trigger and buy it. I'm sure if you end up not liking it you could get rid of it on the WKC.
