;D Just a little bit.

All I did was to send an email to customer service.

Was it worth it?  Did you get anything good out of it?

What did you have to give up for that?

Cool. Not sure what I would be willing to give up the flat too for but I just sent them an email. Where did it have to go to? Chicago?

I made the exchange at Weber Canada. Their office is about an hour away from me.

Ask for a ranch ;D

My original request was to have them make me a copper 26'er :) Unfortunately that didn't work out. :(

@mcgolden - something you might consider... I have an OT 26 flat top. On mine , the bowl handles are a bit loose, and a couple of the leg sockets are iffy.  I love the look and heft of the flat top lid, so I don't want to replace it. My goal is to find a newer 26 bowl and just swap out the lid. That way I get the enclosed ash pan, lid bale, higher cook grate, but I get to keep the flat top lid.

That might be a solution to allow you to keep the SNS, and still get rid of one of the 26ers.....

...would love to see a pic of how that looks, if you wouldn't mind... ;D 8)

I've reserved myself to the fact that I don't need to use the SNS on this.  I've got so many other options for smoking (22" SNS, Smoke EZ, Pellet Smoker), I can live without it.  But thanks for the suggestion.

I was offered a gas summit AND a charcoal summit for a 1960 NOS grill I own.  I declined the offer.

That's a bit more rare than what I've got but I would love a charcoal summit

I love the vintage ones, but it would be so hard for me to pass on a charcoal summit...

Agree! That would have been a decision that would keep me up at night. Care to share a pic of the 1960 NOS?
