Indy has some great local breweries! Sun King is always good. I enjoy Oaken Barrel as well - they are one of the OG's for craft beer in Indy.

I can ride my bike to oaken barrel. I’ve been going there for 20 years. They were definitely pioneers and have helped other small breweries with expertise.

Of the ones available nationally , I love Bell's 2 Hearted and Dechutes Fresh squeezed.  There is also a beer out of Cleveland area called The Brew Kettle White Raja that is fantastic.

My brother lives in Columbus.  Every trip there includes at least:
Columbus Brewing Co IPA
Brew Kettle White Raja
Head Hunter Hop Stalker (if there in the fall fresh hop season)
Head Hunter Hop Juju (if there in the spring for this seasonal)
Head Hunter IPA if there any other time

And last...and MOST

Any juice bomb by Hoof Hearted. My personal favorite was the Musk of the Minotaur batch they did in Feb '17, but they have several beers rated higher than that (Konkey Dong, Roller Blabe, South of Eleven DIPA).

If you ever get to OH and haven't tried any of these, seek them out.

Love this thread. Currently I’m drinking a #nofilter from Thomas hooker. I have also been enjoying a small brewery in Vermont called Upperpass. They make a single a double ipa. I also grab some Tree House when I can. Great New England ipa!!

Cool. I’m right downtown greenwood. I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t made it over to planetary even though it’s walking distance. Have you tried it yet?

I went there when they first opened several years ago. I haven't been to their new location yet.

Rumor has it a few breweries looked at the old blind pig location, but it was in such terrible shape they all passed.

Owner of oaken barrel also bought that entire strip, so it will be cool to see what he dies with it.

Whoa, he bought the old blind pig?  I didn’t know that. They actually made blind pig decent when they redid the store fronts.

No - sorry that was confusing. He bought all the buildings where oaken barrel is located now.

Ok yeah I knew that. He also owns or is a partner on a new event hall of sorts in franklin. Looks like it’s almost finished. Old building remodel.

I second @robs2  opinion. I live in Columbus (Delaware to be exact but whatevs). All these are fantastic beers! I highly suggest adding fresh Mystic Mama from Jackie-Os to this list. Also, (and I don’t know how it has been missed) but you NEED to pick up some fresh Bodhi from Columbus Brewing. If you like all those beers you listed, you’re missing out if you haven’t had Bodhi. Widely regarded as Columbus’s best and it is always in the conversation of Ohio’s best beer. Not best IPA (it’s a DIPA) but Best Overall beer.
