Yeah, I was afraid oil would darken it. I'll just try cleaning it first.

I've been hunting for a grill with some patina for awhile. Spotted this 77 locally and picked it up yesterday. Did a quick clean up and handle restore. Then went crazy with the camera. Later, cooked up some Usingers Italian sausage, man they were good!

Here's my recently acquired K code Weber kettle.  Grilled up hamburgers and okra and it did great!

Damn, these are some awesome kettles! I'm a VW guy and have a nice patina 63 type 1. These kettles remind me of that style. I'll keep searching so I can join in on the fun. Great thread

There are some beautiful patina'd Kettles in here! Makes me want one of my own but real WW are like hen's teeth here in Portugal.

Guess I'll have to start weathering one of my fleet to get that great look
