"Patina" Appreciation society - Weathered Warriors

Picked up this 18 yesterday, it has a hole where one or the grate straps popped loose, @Mike in Roseville said I could put a bbq guru there lol.

It has really nice wheels for as weathered as it is, legs and triangle are really good too. Might have to cut a grate strap out of another 18 and weld it in there.

My WW brothers.  A code 22 and newly cleaned up '78 18.  18 has an interesting off center handle. 

The 18 had dried latex paint on the lid.  You can see it now in the black splotches near the handle and the side pictured below.  The spill was obviously before the patina set in.  I was surprised I find perfect black underneath paint.

Nice ones fellas! I think I'm gonna put some brackets on a ww and drop it in this gen2 performer frame. Has anyone done a ww performer?
