I'm surprised fruit wood sparks that much. Ono will also since it's basically mesquite. I have B&B oak right now, but have been using BK lately. I really like BK because it's consistant, no sparks, it lasts longer than any lump I have tried, economical and it's great for long slow cooks where I can just add the wood of my choice. Having said all of that, I like grilling on lump much better, it's just a lot more expensive. So, I guess I will keep buying both. I'm not a big fan of natural briquettes these days. I hear the Wicked brand is great though.
