Canada Day Meetup
« on: July 03, 2016, 09:12:26 AM »
Last year MacEggs came down to my place for a little cookup with AFH and I. This year saw Mac come down on the same day. I got up and had Gorbachev going before 9am:

Jerk pork.... 1.25 pound chunks of bone in pork butt dry rubbed and vac sealed for 2.5 days and a couple beef ribs:

It rained in the morning and early afternoon so I had the uncovered Kettles under the gazebo till it cleared:

The jerk chicken was dry rubbed and vac sealed for 2.5 days as well. Smoked for an hour and half then grilled to crisp up:

Some of the jerk pork was taken to 190f for cubing and some to pull stage:

Mac did a couple racks of baby backs on my Blue MT:

I didn't get all the Webers out but I did get most:

Mac got more pictures than me so more to follow.

We did a couple pizzas later on and a desert pizza with strawberry jam, strawberries, shredded dark chocolate and icing sugar.

Saturday saw us drive down to see L.B. outside Detroit. We had a good visit, some fine smoked chicken wings and L.B. helped set us up with some Stubbs charcoal. A quick stop at HD before heading back across the border saw some Kingsford BB added to the haul. My ex is not using her office anymore so that is where my charcoal went last night:

Breakfast on the Manturion Candidate

It was great hanging out with Hoss this weekend.

The trip across the border was epic!  Meeting LB, then loading up with charcoal.  No problem at the border.

Hoss was a very gracious host.  I felt I needed to cook-up breakfast Saturday morning.

Why not use the Manturion griddle for the first time.  It's used, but in very good condition.
There is a learning curve with this, and I may experiment more with the charcoal set-up.  Overall, very happy with the results.

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

That looks like a hang over breakfast, if I ever saw one!

Partying it up in true Grillfellas fashion.  Everything looks fantastic.

I love your kettle setup, especially that yellow 18, light green 22, and red 26.
