First kettle pizza cook
« on: November 05, 2014, 07:13:03 PM »
Tried out the KP tonight. Used store bought dough from whole foods. Didn't want to spend time making dough on my first test run. What I like about this is that I can see the pizza unlike the way i was doing it before. I'm going to change my set up a little next time. I'm also going to buy a small pizza peel so I can turn the pizza easier. Sorry for the blurry pic. Pizza on the right is first pizza.

Here's here's video of the second cook. Kinda boring.

Hey Nate, thanks for the video!

It wasn't boring at all. I think it showed exactly (at least for me) how it should work - a nice flame rolling across the top.

And the steel looks like it's a handy surface. Just don't put your drink on it   :o

Looks good! Did you use wood? If so, wich one?

Nice work!

Yep, need a pizza hook too. As for the wood, I used hickory splits that I got from hd. This was a full chimney of kbb and wood.

Yeah, that's not bad considering everything you get.

Great Job! I was lucky enough to find one on CL a couple of months ago. Not only are the pizzas tasty but my family has had a great time getting together and making our own pies!
