Charcoal Grilling & BBQ / Re: Annual hunt for daily charcoal
« Last post by Foster Dahlet on Today at 09:18:30 PM »
Our local Wal Mart did start carrying Cowboy Briquettes,  twin pack, two 20 lb bags for $20.  That's what I've been getting, and it's been working great.

I have had no issues with reusing the partially spent charcoal.  Used 3/4  chimney of charcoal from previous burn, and 1/4 fresh charcoal tonight on chicken thighs.  Came out perfectly.

Actually, I always knew they were cool! This is circa ‘87 for you young’uns.

Our first Weber was a new one purchased in ‘78 [emoji16]

I've passed all of my vinyl on to one of my S-i-Ls.  No room for it in the Motor Coach . . .

Nice color on that!
What rub did you use?
What probe are you using in that cook?

@Babekyu thanks much. The rub was Chupacabra 2 Gringos AP. I used yellow mustard as binder on bottom and then used honey mustard on fat cap.

The probe was Meater 2 Plus…scored by an awesome WKC Secret Santa this year!

Daughter made some homemade sauces, she’s taking the butt to mid-week church dinner.

Weber Mods, Tables and Customs / Custom 26" Performer Dimensions
« Last post by w1lldeang on Today at 07:21:00 AM »
Hi all,

Got an extra Gen 2 Performer cart and plan to fit it with a 26" kettle.  Poked around previous posts and have the cart figured out, but still trying to figure out the best way to create the tabletop.

If anyone who built one in the past has dimensions of tables you've made and would be willing to share that, I would appreciate it!

Thanks,

Took a page out of a few of your books and left a grill at my parents. Celebrated Mother’s Day there with some simple burgers that hit the spot.
