@1buckie , I gave my new-to-me Wok a little test run tonight. I was given the Wok by my buddy who sandblasted it to get the grime off. First order of business was a seasoning session:
It was a beautiful evening to do a cook on the grill:
Had all the fixins for Fajitas, kept it simple for the first cook. Bisbee gets the call. The carbon steel wok fits perfectly in the gourmet grill grate. I spread a chimney of KBB around the outside rather than right under the center of the wok to get a more even heat across the wok.
Cooked veggies first, then beef, and finished with chicken. Fire was plenty hot:
The payoff. Admittedly, its not the best plating of food, but I was hungry and it sure tasted good. I was amazed at how tender the chicken was.
