Inspired by the many amazing wok cooks from @dazzo, @BBcue-Z, and @1buckie , I gave my new-to-me Wok a little test run tonight.  I was given the Wok by my buddy who sandblasted it to get the grime off.  First order of business was a seasoning session:

It was a beautiful evening to do a cook on the grill:

Had all the fixins for Fajitas, kept it simple for the first cook.  Bisbee gets the call.  The carbon steel wok fits perfectly in the gourmet grill grate.  I spread a chimney of KBB around the outside rather than right under the center of the wok to get a more even heat across the wok.

Cooked veggies first, then beef, and finished with chicken.  Fire was plenty hot:

The payoff.  Admittedly, its not the best plating of food, but I was hungry and it sure tasted good.  I was amazed at how tender the chicken was.

Dude, relax your chicken.

1buckie

that look fabulous....right outta the gate you're doing VERY well with it !!!

Know how to test the seasoning, right?

Crack an egg on the near edge of the empty wok & if it goes up the other side & off the balcony, you're good... 8)
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

That is a fine looking cook Winz...your view out back is killer too. All this wok talk has got me itching for one now too. The wife has one for the stove top but using it would result in flak so I gotta find another.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

Nate

Nice wok and nice view 8) I really need to get me a proper wok for the grill.

@Qreps   Thanks for the complement.   Indeed, the top of my grill "Bisbee" is custom.  Full story here: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/got-copper-bisbee-goes-authentic!/
