Is this missing a washer? The newer version has a washer for the bottom of the bowl when this is on seems like it should have one? Or not, I know that there is a part number for a stainless steel version.

If this was on an original master touch it would not have a washer because the cross bar that holds the ash bucket ring would have served as the washer.

If this is just a standard kettle with an ash pan as opposed to an ash bucket, then yes, it would have a washer.
