New to the forum, but have been cooking on a Weber kettle since I was old enough to make fire. I picked this Performer up today for $85. Looking forward to the next chance I have to use it!

Welcome to the board! From central Ohio.

What kettles were you using before? Do you know about the date codes on the top vent?

Hello and welcome to the WKC from Eugene, Oregon.  That looks like a Gen3, just about the same vintage as the one in my avitar  <----  They're great everyday GoTo machines.

I’ve always used a 22” standard kettle. Where would I find the date code? And how do I decipher it?
