Wood Dale
« on: May 20, 2018, 08:12:24 PM »
Hey guys.
I met up fellow grillfella Brian today, @haeffb
he had said in a group pm that he was gifting his 63’ wood dale to anyone who wanted to come and get it. Luckily, I was first to respond so I took the day for a rainy road trip to meetup. He also had a Weber firepit that was needing transporting to another member that I’ll be meeting up later in the week.
Anyways, Thankyou very much Brian. I’m looking forward to the RRR. I’ll be searching some restore post, mainly @cellar2ful about your Ambassador restore. Wheels and such. I’d really like to take the time and make this girl good as new.

Wow, very cool for him to offer it up and glad it found a proper home. I’m sure it’s in good hands. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. No need to worry about any pesky wood or plastic handles [emoji3]

Congratulations Travis. The wheels and triangle look to be in really good shape being 55 years old. They should restore pretty easily.  As usual, the legs and ash pan will be a time consuming process.  It has a great patina on the lid and bowl.  Also, kudos to @haeffb for gifting you the Wood Dale.
