Temp help
« on: July 16, 2015, 02:36:07 AM »
I want to do a brisket soon, I don't have a temp gauge at all and am wondering as far as a meat therm and an internal heat therm, what to get? I want to be able to control the heat and have no clue what any of my temps are as of right now. I am sure as the time gets closer to do the brisket the more the questions will come. lol

I personally can recommend the Maverick ET-732.  I've had one for like 2 or 3 years now and it still works great.

Has a probe for both your pit temp and the hunk of meat you're cooking.

As stated above, I recommend the Mav 732 for the cook, the Thermapen for accurate temps when probing the meat
