My thanks to those who pioneered this and figured out that it all worked.     Now I might have to swipe @SixZeroFour 's idea and wrap with some carbon fiber !   ;D ;D ;D

Very nice!! The new dark table really sets off a lot of the older colors and even the black kettles - super sharp!

Thanks Rion!

Yeah Matt, looks a WHOLE lot better than the old table.  I used to be kind of MEH about the green bowl, now I actually like it.  Would still love blue or red, but the green looks much nicer now.

Looks great!

I'm still getting over that tiny panic that seizes my left hand when the lid tips further than it used to tip...

Nice looking set up - a buddy of mine wanted to do this so I just forwarded this to him to let him know that dreams can come true. Thanks for posting!

Looks great, @demosthenes9  ! So, did Weber customer service give you too much trouble about ordering the new lid bale/table? How much did they run you?

I just got a new C&B Green bowl and lid and wanted to get a spare bale for it so all my bowls had one on it and I called Weber with the original part number and the new 2015 one and the old one was like $26 something and the new one was $21 something. I ordered the new one as it was cheaper. The lady on the phone from Weber tried to tell me that what I ordered was not the same part and would not fit but ordered it anyway. Needless to say, it came and it fit. On a side note, I heard the original cover would not fit, but I was able to get mine on. It was tight, but that is what you want anyway.

@Bob BQ   Didn't have any trouble at all.  Gave the CSR the 2 part numbers and was good to go.   They forgot to ship the charcoal bucket chain so I called back, talked to CSR about it and they shipped it right out.

Thanks @indy82z and @demosthenes9 . Do either of you recall the part numbers for the bale and table?

65188 was the part number on the bale..not sure on the table, I did not get that..

@Bob BQ

65189      Metal table, Performer, silver vein '15
65188      Hardware, tuck away lid holder '15

When ordering the table, make sure the CSR reads down to the bottom of the page.  There's a note that tells them if the metal table is to replace a Thermoset table, then they need to include:
65197      Charcoal bin chain, Performer

I just called Weber CS and was getting a replacement table for my 2010 performer, i asked if could work a deal to pay the difference for a metal table instead of the plastic one,he said they do not make the plastic any longer , so they sent me the metal one I tried to buy the 2015 lid bale system but they would not sell it to me only the older model.
I really want to get that new bale set up.
