I use kbb in my smoker. It's not allowed in any of my grills :P

Now I'm curious:
1. Why is KBB only used in your smoker?
2. Why is KBB "not allowed in any of your grills"?
3. What do you use in your grills and why?

I only use kettles with lid bales.

Kbb produces too much ash. And it floats around if something kicks it up.

I use it in my smoker because it's cheap. I stock up when home depot has big sales. I never add unlit kbb though because that nasty white smoke makes food taste bad.

I only use coshell or lump in my grills. Burns hotter and cleaner, lasts a lot longer, and produces less ash.

You can shorten yours even more with the can easily but don't go as short as I did. But then again mine is a mid 70s mini..

K Blue will work fine if you don't jiggle it around......................

Very poetic.

In reality, I just get really annoyed emptying the ash bucket every other cook.  The amount of ash it produces is far more than any other charcoal I've ever used.

Plus the kingsford stink when it's lighting is fricken gross
