2015 Weber Kettle Goals
« on: January 01, 2015, 12:07:22 PM »
In similar vein to the post from MrHoss on kettles from 2014
http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/what's-your-favorite-new-kettle-of-the-year/

Before I ask, last year I had two goals to own a SS Performer and to acquire a rotissorie
I as I posted here (http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/off-topic/a-thankful-2014/msg139820), it happened in fairly short order.

So I will highlight kettle goals that I have for 2015, keep in mind that I am a cheapskate and probably will not break the bank to do these.

1. Find a Detroit Lions Smokey Joe for the mini WSM
2. Purchase a 2015 Master-Touch
3. Purchase a cheap OTS to convert to a dedicated smoker and take advantage of unused accessories like the side table, smokenator and slide aside
4. Purchase a pitmaster IQ 110
5. Purchase an older very cherry MBH grill something similar to the one that I sold to MrHoss

Again, these are very loose goals and something that I a would not be heart broken if it didn't happen.

Let me add, help many others achieve their goals.

Yeah a herd thinning may be in order, sell off and take a vacation or buy a new camera.

Let me add, help many others achieve their goals.

And you do a very fine job of that.  Thank you.  Keep up the good work.

My main objective is sticking with the WKC motto … Rescue, Restore, Respect.
Everything I rescued in 2014 was Black.  No problem, I say.  Some were 20-25 years old.
A good cleaning, and they look nearly new.  I will continue to do that for 2015.

I will also do what I can to help others .. i.e. being an "enabler" and such.  :D

There's 4 main ones I'm looking for.

Dark Green MBH.

Lime Green 22

Chestnut Copperton.

C code Red 22.

I've got a couple red mist 22's that I can trade.

I will keep an eye out for others grails, not much comes up around here locally though.

+2 for sure! I need to do another garage sale asap.

Other goals for 2015:

- Help as many members as possible find their grails.
- Track down the following:
                  18's - Red, Cado, Lime
                  22's - Lime, Blue MBH
Any sort of Custom or a Wood Dale would also be fantastic!

Lastly I hope to further develop my grilling skills thanks to all the excellent ideas we see here on a daily basis.

All the best in 2015!

My only goal for the year in this regard, is to finish this performer restoration I'm going to do.  The cart has no bowl or lid, so I need to get that, and the cart itself needs major cleaning.  That will have to wait till its warmer out though.
