The Pork of July
« on: July 06, 2014, 08:44:52 AM »
The 4th of July involved lots of pork here.

First up I had a request from my friend Kimmie.  She asked me to make Harry Soo's Bacon-wrapped Pineapple Mozzarella Rings (a.k.a. Bacon Donuts)

The ingredients.

Wow these are GOOD!  I need to figure out an easier way to make these as wrapping them up is a major PITA.

Onto the pork chops,  Seasoned with Penzeys BBQ3000 and Cajun Seasoning.  Sorry no action shots on the grill.

MMM, crash hots on the grill for 30 minutes.

The plated shot with a couple of my wifes salads.

The 3 workhorses.

EE Kettle, 1974 JBK-360 Key Lime "The Fairway" , DR Genesis Gold

 Nice Lookin' Cookup !!!

I've just resigned myself to it bordering on 'work' when wrapping  do-nuts & pineapples & stuff like that in bacon....... 8)

    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

How about cutting the pineapple ring in half and just doing half donuts.
