Gummi, we might be able to put the lighter fluid issue to rest at this point.....they did, after all, have antique fire blowers & a Texas Zippo on site....... 8)

And this, my fine feathered friends, is what a true 'Turd Gladiator looks like :

WOW! What an incredible assemblage of Webers!

Wish I could have made it.

So I have one question, how did the Custom wind up in Illinois?
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan

Outstanding photos and write up Jeff. The entire event was nothing short of perfection. Great to see Weber corporate represented, and I'm sure Kevin will have something to say about it in an upcoming blog. Nice to see some new faces in the mix too.

Team Chicago keeps raising the bar, and I feel like an honorary member. An autumn meetup would be fun, and I'll be back several times in the September /October timeframe. I keep thinking there's no way to top the last one, but they just seem to get better.

Way to go Brian! Way to go WKC!

It wound up in Chicago via a mega trade :)

Thanks Brian and Jenny for hosting and inviting people from Wisconsin (GO Pack) to the Chicago WKC July (August) get together.  Betty, Judie and I had a wonderful time making new friends and seeing an amazing array of grills of every size, shape and color.  The food was delicious and the variety outstanding.  Thanks to Brian, I am the new owner of a Jumbo Joe that I won as a door prize.  And yes, it does have one of Brian's custom wood handles.  Look forward to seeing you all again, soon.

Nice !!!!

I know whatever Hank did w/ vegs & anything else was the bomb.....I see Brian pre-heated the beer before adding to the pan....that's a pro move there & the donuts went indirect.....good show, Chris.....I was a bit concerned.....some folks try to do donuts direct & it just doesn't work.......... 8)

6 volt fireblower, or 12?

the hanging chicken legs may just be the star of the show, looking
from way over here anyways............. ;D

That's a great shot right there.....cooker row under Mesa Azul ~~~>

Here you go Ken
It's a 6V lantern battery like I thought.  I'm so glad I got this fireblower.  Its REALLY cool and does a great job too!.  As far as the Brown row with the peg leg and GA...I thought I had one with the GA on the Sequoia...but unfortunately no...Peg Leg Brownie didn't get into that shot.

My jealousy knows no bounds!  Awesome to be able to cook on a grill like this.

Next up was Chris (Brickout).  He had what may have been one of the oddest combinations of food we all had.  Donuts wrapped with bacon...Oh yes he did.  And to boot...he used the baby blue Wooddale to make them on!
Behold.
