Does it seem strange not to have a date code stamped on my 26” top vent?
If you got this grill used the original owner had the lid replaced.

Could be wrong here. Not familiar with the new Weber’s, but I believe they stopped the vent codes a while back. Check the age guide. Might have some info. For you there.

First few cooks will be burgers, chicken, and steaks.

Possibly soon I will be attempting my first brisket.  I've smoked ribs, pork butt, and corned beef brisket in my 22" Kettle and all have turned out well.  Time to try a long, low and slow brisket.  Should be a fun time.

I read through the Age Guide.  Noticed where they changed to the Blacksmith code but nothing on "No Stamp" popped up.  They had originally set the grill up.  Maybe something happened to the stock lid at the store and they had it replaced.

That might very well be.

I've had 2 replacement lids and they both had date codes on them.
