Nice restore!  RRR.  Did you use Mothers on the legs?

Beautiful job!  What did you use on the legs?  I couldn't get the legs on the Cabin Cado that shiny.

I use a product recommended by @zavod44  called Rolite Supra 90.  It is a aircraft aluminum polish.  I previously used Mothers Mag polish but Rolite provides much better results in less time.  It is expensive but well worth it if you have been bitten by the kettle restoration bug.

Sweet! I did something similar last year, the neighbors were foreclosed and I spotted a black kettle among a bunch of junk in the yard. I gave them $10 for it, turned out to be a 1990 (M) in fairly good shape. With a little love it's happy and in use.

@Cellar2ful, How did you apply it for those results?  Not a bad value, considering the cost of new legs,as long as it doesn't dry up.

I've had my 2 lb can for over a year and no sign of drying. I still have just a little over 1/2 the can left.  I cut up old T shirts into 3"x 6" strips, folding them into 3" x 3" squares.  I use a popsicle stick, putting a blob of paste about the size of a dime on a 3"x 3" cloth and polishing until the rag turns black and gets hard to polish with.  Using these 3" x 3" squares, I can usually get 4 uses out of each one.  Using both sides, then turning the used sides to the inside, exposing a somewhat clean cloth.  It also helps in extending the Rolite as once turned inside out, the cloth is damp with Rolite from the previous applications and takes less to polish.   I also loosely put the lid back on every time I put some on the cloth.  If it is warm outside or windy, I believe it would dry out the contents left in the can.

Back at ya! Thanks Rub.  That is a great deal.  Did the same as you.  Got three 1 lb containers for the price of the 2 lb can and free shipping.

@zavod44 is the one who turned me onto Rolite.  Brian might be interested in this deal also.  6 left at that price.
