Am I lucky or what?  Picked this up today. Never opened NOS SJ. Opened the box up to confirm- the most beautiful deep darkest blue I ever laid my eyes on.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

That was all the pic I had from pick up location.  I just took this pic for now.

Better daylight pics coming on the weekend.

@mcgolden had one, a Sam Adams: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/member-sales-trades/sam-adams-midnight-blue-smokey-joe-nib/

Gorgeous color. I don't recall seeing it on anything else.

Yep! That is the one. Both the Blue Wave and the Midnight Blue within a week time frame is pretty incredible especially here in Canada.

It looks more black than purple.

pics of the bowl on my blue MT. My MT is darker blue than lighter blue MT Hoss has. With and without flash to show the different blue tone.

 Many years ago Outlaw Josey Wales hit the big screen.  In that movie Chief Dan George said,"Endeavor To Persevere".  You, greenweb, definitely endeavored to persevere. Great job.

That blue in the non-flash pic reminds me of the midnight blue Pontiac color of the mid-60s. The family had a LeMans in that color. Very cool.
