I was lucky enough to pick this up last night. It is in pretty good shape for its age. The lid looks like it was dropped and someone tried to repair it or just paint over the chip. The bowl only has 1 chip, no rust inside, all 3 vents stuck open. The cart was touched up without removing the bowl, but I'm sure the over spray will come right off. The rubber on the tires have been painted, but in great shape. Ash pan is perfect, just 1 tiny bend in the rim which can be fixed easy. 1 of the 3 bowl brackets is bent up so it doesn't sit level, I may leave it like this in fear of breaking the bracket off or porcelain damage. The top rail needs spot welded on the end,can be seen in the picture of the bracket. A quick scrape with a plastic putty knife and everything looks great, no rust or holes in the bowl. Can anybody help put a year on this? I seen the old Weber catalogs here and 1974 was the first year I seen a picture. Inside was a rib rack, a roast holder, and charcoal rails.

Amazing score!  Truly amazing.  Not bad for your first three-wheeler.

Man, that is really pretty. Nice score. Just from the pic, looks like you could ease that bowl tab back. Maybe not perfect, but better.
Congrats, Harley

You're not allowed to find that for your first 3 wheeler. Take it back

My first "score" and 3 wheeler was a black econokettle. I was happy the wood handles were in good shape.
Still need a 22" yellow

Wow.  Congratulations @Harleysmoker . This is the second Chariot this year that has surfaced having the original rubber treads still intact.  I reached out to @Craig (WKC Historian) and he identified my Chariot as a 1977.

The lid vent on my lime Chariot is identical to yours.

That's like hitting a grand slam in your first major league at-bat! Those have recently become my grail. The bowl is gonna clean up real good. Nice grab!

Thanks everyone,,I feel very fortunate that I got this. I have been looking for 3 years for anything old and it never shows up. I will cook on this grill after a proper cleaning. I know its not perfect, but it almost needs to be in a museum. I find myself in the garage just staring at it in its dirty stage!

I don't have anything super vintage, but I know the just staring feels. I still sometimes feel a surprise, when I pull a cover off and don't see black.
