The owner of this new – rare, patent number gem is WKC member Harris92. According to the seller, this red Weber kettle was originally purchased by the seller’s parents as newlyweds in 1973. Shortly after purchase, the seller’s parents decided to become vegetarians. The grill sat in their attic for approximately the next 38 years….

Here’s a great vintage red Smokey Joe from 1973. The vents haven’t been opened or moved in the grills more than 40 year life. The copyright 1973 recipe book/brochure came with it. It is believed this is a 1973 model based on that brochure. This has the neatest overspray on the lid from the factory….
