I'd take that blue over the dull copper or crimson red anyday. Looks nice.

It is nice, and the speckling seems consistent with recent production blues. Was it lighter than the photos reflect? Thats what it sounds like from your post, and thats what I would expect.

Not sure about the speckling. I was hoping for a gloss Dark Blue!

It is a blue performer. It is perfection. One day I will find one, one day.

I think the blues have been lightly speckled for the past few years. I, too, wish that the color was as deep and dark as they look in the Weber promo shots, but any blue is a nice blue.

Does anyone have any comparison photos of this Blue in different conditions so I can get an idea. I was
looking for Dark Blue and I cannot tell from the photos if this fits the bill. Duke Blue is fine with me but I
don't want something to light. I am buying this sight unseen so it's really hard to make the choice. Does
anyone have experience buying online from C&B and how the experience was?

It's a bit darker than the older years.......here's an advert shot:

There's several different views in that ^^^^

Probably about as dark a Blue as Weber's made.....Brian or Craig might know more about this...........

Definitely a step darker than this "EZ" Blue....

I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Do all the blues have the same level of speckling?
Is it very noticable?

1buckie - If the C&B Color is as dark as your picture I would be fine with that. Can anyone confirm this?

I guess if I did order it and didn't like the color someone would trade me! hehehehe
Worst case scenario would be ordering a different color lid and bowl I guess.

Have not seen the C&B in person, so this is somewhat speculative..................

In the second link to the PB site, look around a bit, that one is newer, see here:

The first link is an "EZ" & pretty much just like the one I showed.....lighter, but still nice, rich Blue........

This is Brian's Mesa Azul, older ones, somewhat lighter.....

He will tell you though, that there's a pretty wide variance in the color, but I'm pretty sure, generally speaking, the newer ones are darker......
