Yeah doubtful I'd cook on that beauty. Great find!
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

where is the redhead appreciation thread? I'm new to this stuff
am i supposed to use this grill?, it seems to nice to use?

Use it.

What better way to respect the weber than to cook great food on it.  Enjoy it.  It was created to cook.

Look up pretty redhead in the book, that one right there! Do a ceremonial cook on it, watch it turn magic purple, Great George Stephens ghost that is some pervature!

Thread...Red head appreciation society in the main Weber kettles and accessories threads.  There's no such thing as too many pictures.

EDIT:

I was asked by a fellow member to guess the age... If red wasn't available yet in '58, based on the 1958 article Marty posted, then my best guess based on info thus far puts this between 1959-1961/62 or so... It's only an estimation and not set in stone. At any rate, that kettle is pure beauty!

You'd be crazy to cook on that. Put it on eBay or send photos to weber. And get yourself a new 26" to cook on.

That belongs in a collection. Seriously.

I cant get over how shiny it looks. Is it possible that it has been re-enameled/painted?

Oh, and add my name to the PM list should you want to ever sell it. :)

I'm also thinking this is the best looking redhead I've ever seen.
Personally, I wouldn't cook on it.  *IF* I did, the coals wouldn't even come close to the side of the bowl for fear of popping the porcelain.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Anybody happen to notice the straight holes in the ash pan with clips....date clue?
