Talk to me about Pepper stout Beef
« on: June 11, 2013, 10:05:12 AM »
I have never tried it.  Not a big fan of green peppers but I do like red yellow and orange.

I was thinking of treating myself to a fathers day pulled beef samiches.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Red, yellow orange.....green gives me heartburn....everytime, no matter how they're done, cooked or not.....

Sounds like a plan! I don't imagine green peppers are a requirement. Everybody at my house loved it!

I have done the Pepper Stout Beef twice now and honestly I liked it better without the smoke. The first time I smoked the beef chuck and thought the smoke was too over powering for the sandwich and it was all I could taste. Didn't even use that much wood, only a small chunk of pecan. The second time I made it, I didn't use any wood chunks, just over charcoal and I thought it was MUCH better. I suppose it's just a matter of preference!

Not a fan of the stout with the beef.  I prefer to just use a light beef broth as the liquid source.
