I just enjoyed southern fried chicken on my Performer using a generic vortex for the first time....it arrived at 5:45, and I filled it up with charcoal, and eating by 7:45.    I really liked how it kept a constant 450 for the 45 minutes it was in use.   Tomorrow I will be using it to grill some lamb skewers that have been marinating in my fridge for the last few days.

I was really happy with this purchase and can't wait to make some wings sometime soon!!!

It's not always "What's on your grill", sometimes it's " What's in your grill".

I love the cool look of hot burning coals!

Actually wanted to serve this old girl to the fam, so I did it on the traeger instead of the 22. Someday I'll trust myself.

You owe it to yourself to do you next turkey on the 22.  You get that lump charcoal flavor plus the fat smoke from the juices dripping on the hot coals. I follow Weber's recipe and it turns out great every time.  This 15 lb bird took 3.5 hours to cook, I never had to add charcoal, just some smoking chips.  The Traeger is easier because you don't need to babysit the grill.  But the taste difference on the 22 is so much worth it.

Homemade bread pudding on the summit.   Just needs some vanilla ice cream.  Easy bbq dessert for summer.

Sweet looking cado! And a quick and easy meal set up.  What did you cook the bread pudding on?
