Looking to smoke a couple of chickens this weekend. In terms of wood I have the following
Pear chunks
Apple chunks
Cherry chunks
And chips, it’s Maple then Hickory.
Any tips on which to try out first?

Those all sound good. I like apple and cherry. Never tried maple or pear.

I would go for pear as it's IMHO the best wood for chicken. It gives nice colour and taste. However, I'm adding only a very small piece as chicken meat tends to absorb the smoke very easy.
