Which kettle to buy?

Hi all, l am looking to buy either a Weber performer or a master touch plus. The master touch has the diffuser plate and the smoking setting while the performer has neither but am led to believe that it’s a better bbq. I want to cook both low and slow/smoke and also conventional grilling. Looking for input as to which to buy. I need to mention that I am in Australia and the models here differ slightly from those in U.S.     Cheers Chris.

You cannot go wrong with a performer.  It has everything you need and they’re available on the used market in quantity this time of year.   

If you want to grill but have lots of indirect space for smoking, I’d recommend a 26 inch kettle.  You will not be disappointed.   It can do it all.  If I could only have one, that’s it.

I'm with Michael. The 26" is the way to go.
Here are just a few of the cooks through mine lately.
Plenty of briskets have been through it too.
I just can't find any pics on the phone.
Great all around cooker.
If I could only have one, it would be a 26er
Be careful. They multiply. I currently have 4.

Love my summit with table… if I didn’t have it I’d have one of my SSPs in its place.  Gas assist and stainless steel table are just a couple of the amenities.  That said, my 26” grills will always be in my rotation and reign supreme when a large cook is in order.  I say get a performer or a 26” and you’ll be happy.
