With the holidays fast approaching spare time has been at a minimum so I've been feeling some BBQ withdrawal... Thankfully this past Fri night I was cooking for myself so I went to the old BMCB.
Here are the mushrooms and cheese on standby.
I picked up some nice thick cut Applewood bacon from the butcher...
...and used the grease to sautéed the shrooms at the same time. Worked out perfect!
Ahh the good old cheesy bun... because you can never have too much cheese!
Into the pan to soak up a little more the bacon nectar
Now we're talkin' !
Performer is hot an ready to go rocking some royal oak briquettes and a small piece of hickory:
The burger was cooked and then basted in blues hog. Next up the bacon and first layer of cheese was added. Once that melted down I added the sautéed shrooms and then capped it off with some more cheese
Assemble all parts and this is what I was left with!
... momentarily. It was gonzo in about 3 min flat
