Another vote for H, but primarily for the stainless blades. The hex style I've always had to cut off, while the H style I've been able to take off bend and re-install.

I would argue that either set up uses the bottom of the bowl as a pressure point. Nothing that causes any damage to the bowl.  IMHO
The staimless will last longer with minimal maintenance. If you take the aluminized steel one apart every so often and clean it, I beleive it will last a fair amount of time.
Either or, whatever works for ya. I personally like the SS handle on the H drive.  8)

Glad this thread started some spirited discussion.  Just wait until my next one on the controversial subject about which shape of lid holder rollers is better.

(The answer is "the kind with a small spool style end on one side rather than a plane tube")

Speaking of blades, I just bent the hell out of one of my One Touch blades trying to remove the charcoal grate that somehow slipped out of my hand and caught under the blade tip. Do the stainless steel ones bend easily?  :-\

They all bend easily.. Take it apart first. You will neve get it tight against the bowl if you don't.

AJ's right............for once. ;)  The SS is the way to go. He actually showed me how to remove them and it's a snap now. He's also right about just taking them completely off and bending them back just a little further than needed and they will fit snug and shut down again. I just hope they don't do away with the ss now. ::)

I don't like the look of the heat shield handles.. I'm sure they work, but not very eye appealing.. 8)

I'm actually surprised that Weber still makes 2 kinds. But I'm glad that they do.
