Yellow Electric Kettle

Thanks to @dgodwin for posting this. And thanks to @Troy for closing the Online finds section to the public. The transaction went down without a hitch. No trolls to screw it up.   I am really excited to add this to my collection.

I think it will clean up really well. I will post more photos as I restore it. It does need the knob that turns it on and off. I'll have to research it to find one that matches. I also need to get a zavdle for it.

GRATE pickup Dan!  That's a goodie.  I had a red for a short period of time.  I got to fire it up once.  Fire it up at night and post some pictures.  I assume it will turn orange like a yellow charcoal kettle?

An observation. The lid vent has the Pat. # on it but that patent is for the leg sockets which this kettle doesn't have.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to fire it up tonight. A 14 month old plus a 2 week old equals not much time for anything else. I'll pug it in tomorrow night and get some photos.

Do you know, or does anyone here know of someone with this capability?  It would be great to get an exact match.  For now I am going to look at the hardware store for a knob that will fit.

Is there anything you can tell me about taking this grill apart for cleaning? does the element come out easy?  Are there any tricks I should know about or things to be careful of.

I emailed you an instruction sheet. It took only a few minutes to assemble.  Here is a pic of the one I had.  I traded it in a three way deal.
