I'm not that dazzled by the ash pan, I want to know if the 45 degree angle lid bale (larger style) is compatible wilt later model performers. I want my lid to sit straight up, like my 26'er.

In the pics I saw, it looks like if/when you squeeze the two wires of the handle will be closer together and so the handle ends attached to the bowl will be narrow enough to go thru the slot..

what is your take on them?  do you like them better than the twist style?



I only use kettles with lid bales.
