Quote from: ASpitzer on July 22, 2026, 10:17:33 AMWhat a great find! Is it a 22 inch? $20 is almost free. You will have it shining like new in short order I'm sure. Thanks! It's a 22".... couldn't believe it - and it had been listed for two days. The lady had a Weber Spirit gasser also listed as well as a regular Weber kettle - each for $20. The main picture on the listing was the gasser so I guess people just skipped over it. 2009 was the first year for the lid thermometer, but no probe grommet until 2014 I believe. Maybe I'll drill it for a grommet - maybe not. It's fun to have a project going though and yeah, hopefully it shines up nicely. : )

Quote from: Babekyu on July 20, 2026, 01:31:58 PMWelcome from North Carolina, in the US. I don't have any experience cooking on an 18" kettle, so I look forward to reading/seeing your posts. What do you think your first accessory will be?
. Besides I found a couple spare cheap grates, so it'd be neat to have a bit of a higher cooking capacity when we have people over.
. Anyways, if there's any interest in these projects I will gladly share some pictures on the forum once construction begins.
