I have had my 22incher for over a year now and love it! But we found out we are expecting another baby, and our son is getting bigger and its getting harder to put all the food on the 22in. I have seen some mixed reviews on it, I just wanna know your guys take on it.

I really like mine. What bad things have you read?

Time to add a 26er to the 22.  I don't think you'll regret getting a 26

It's worth every penny. I got mine 8 years ago and due to its size, the legs are maybe a little bit more wobbly than my 22 and my one touch ash sweep handle rubbed on the slot at first. That drove me crazy at first but that went away soon after I started using it. I also don't notice the wobbly legs at all anymore. You only notice that when moving it around.

You get a huge kettle with a stainless grate that possesses all the qualities and durability that we love about all kettles.

I don't notice hardly any more charcoal use once your up and running. I snuff the coals and the next cook I light a half to two thirds chimney and dump them over the used coal. I was doing roughly this same cycle with the 22.

Personally I would own one if it was only the wife and I and would use it daily. The extra real estate is awesome for cooking whole meals for two or cooking a lot of meat for a party.

You won't regret it. Only kettle I would pay full retail for in a heartbeat.

One other notable difference is a full lit chimney in a 22 usually runs 500-600 degrees running wide open. No matter how much coal you use in a 26, it will run a little cooler due to airflow. Approx 400-500. You can easily get the heat way up by cracking the lid a tiny bit so not really a problem.

This is my experience anyway.

I only WISH I had one...

If my wife won the discussion and I had to sell all my kettles the 26 would be the last remaining kettle.

Absolutely agreed. If I could only have one...it would be the 26!

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

My new 26 came just this week. Did my first cook yesterday. Country ribs, chicken legs and thighs. Fabulous!! I Love it! Perfect addition to my Master Touch 22 and my performer 22.
Looking forward to a brisket, pork butt, spare ribs and anything else that gets in my way this weekend! It's a sure thing.  You'll love it!!

I already do 95% of my cooking on one.  Doesn't matter the crowd.  Here's some simple beef short ribs for me and my B-i-L (All the girls are out of town.)

I'll some cut up taters on there a little later.
