It’s worth every penny. I got mine 8 years ago and due to its size, the legs are maybe a little bit more wobbly than my 22 and my one touch ash sweep handle rubbed on the slot at first. That drove me crazy at first but that went away soon after I started using it. I also don’t notice the wobbly legs at all anymore. You only notice that when moving it around.
You get a huge kettle with a stainless grate that possesses all the qualities and durability that we love about all kettles.
I don’t notice hardly any more charcoal use once your up and running. I snuff the coals and the next cook I light a half to two thirds chimney and dump them over the used coal. I was doing roughly this same cycle with the 22.
Personally I would own one if it was only the wife and I and would use it daily. The extra real estate is awesome for cooking whole meals for two or cooking a lot of meat for a party.
You won’t regret it. Only kettle I would pay full retail for in a heartbeat.
