My first grill on the 2015 Performer I acquired over the weekend.  Chicken Tikki skewers, using a custom "vortex".  I have a lot to learn, but it turned out edible tonight, which is a win!  :-)

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Dupe, sorry.

Seasoning burn in.
Burned the new grill hot for 45 minutes yesterday to get rid of the new grill taste & smell.
Today its seasoning it with a bunch of odds & ends of things we normally cook & seasoned the way we season them.
We have pork, beef ham, bacon, chicken & a bratwurst. variously seasoned with my own recipe pork or beef rubs, some Jamaican Jerk for the chicken, & Carne assada for the strips of skirt steak.
Underneath on the bottom shelf is a container with Ras Al Hanout seasoning, Curry powder, Cumin & some Garam Marsala.
The wood chunks are apple, cherry, maple, pecan, & J.D. barrel chips.
Its all smoking low & slow at about 180.
(Sorry, its a bit big.) Resizing.

Shawarma kebabs for dinner tonight and marinated chicken breasts (like, olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes) for my lunches over the week.

The beginning to the aftermath. My dad's bday.  Cooked the corn and asparagus on the Genesis II.  Used Jealous Devil for the sear.    Wasn't used to the heat and got too much of a char....IMHO...but everyone loved it.  Guess who's their own worst critic?
