Just A Saturday Cookout
« on: May 10, 2015, 07:16:08 AM »
One of our good friends is pregnant, and commented the other day that she wanted some BBQ, so I thought I'd come through for her. There are some missing and/or blurry pics throughout the post, but we had a lot of friends over, and ginger margaritas.

Got up early and fired up the WSM using the fuse method and dry water pan, cherry and hickory are the wood choices.

Pork butt going on

Almost done, ready for the wrap. Drip beans underneath

Some baby backs going on

Pulled out the '83 red for some trout and brats

Beer bath and trout getting ready

Brats out of the smoke and over the flames

Ribs are done, i didn't bother to cut them just pulled them apart. This is the point where good documenting photos stop, I was having too much fun

And a plated pic with the slaws, salads, and beans

Lots of fun this weekend, we also smoked some almonds and did chicken pineapple skewers that didn't get photographed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Excellent, all around!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Man that's awesome. Trout, brats, pulled pork, bunch of cookers and good friends. That's what it's all about.
