Finally had a good morning for a few photos of my semi-vintage collection.
Here's my 76/77 22.5 - the "story" kettle I grabbed in Chicago a while back:
And the 26er I magically picked up the very next day:
And the A-code 18.5 I traded for a clean red MT:
And the SJP I traded for a really nice red OTS:
And finally my red SS Performer: (cleaned up for the first time since I bought it!)
I'm feeling like my collection is in a good place now, but I reserve the right to add the occasional special kettle. I have several others not shown that are in the mix, but not destined to hang around much longer. My current go-to is the black Performer I picked up recently. I gave my nice little '97 cherry-red 18.5 to my grandson (via his Dad) last weekend. He was thrilled! These are all (or soon will be) cookers. I like the idea of making memories on the vintage stuff, and not looking at boxes - not that there's anything wrong with that.
Once we get a gallery going on the site I'll be sure to get these in it. It's going to be fantastic! (But don't hold your breath...) Maybe this post should have gone in the "Show us your pit" thread, but these beauty shots were not really family portraits. Maybe "just a bunch of pictures I like" would be more accurate.
Enjoy!
