OK.......it's hard to get exact, exact measurements with them still on the kettle, but here's what I found:
The Pat. Pending red is 18-1/8" to the OUTSIDE of the largest triangle weld, in other words, where the legs would have to stop & could compress no furthur.........
Most accurate I can be, the outside dimension to the tips of the hubcaps is right about exactly 22-1/2".....I already knew that, 'cause I always thought that was interesting that it was the same as the diameter of the bell itself.......
Measured what I beileve is a 2011, the wife's OT Gold & the length to that outside of the LARGEST triangle is maybe 1/8" wider, at the most & the overall length is the same......
As best as I can guess, this must have JUST changed, like maybe this year......if the triangle is salvageable, like stated up above, maybe the best thing would be to use the original for that?
I get that the plan was an all new undercarridge, but something's afoot, like Dr. Watson used to say........
