That is one way that I have not yet tried.

Looks like a lot of fun!
 
I had the same hanging kit for my wsm.  Sold it two summers ago when I got the summit.   

It creates great bark and the smell of pork fat dripping on coals is amazing.   

I hung a few tomahawks as well.   Always fun using a drill on beef bones!

Using the gateway hanger on this cook and i got a hunsaker hanger as well.

Does look fun...... I tried my rib hanger about one year ago.  Need to break it out very soon!  Thanks for sharing.
