Finally Saw the Light
« on: December 01, 2023, 01:31:31 PM »
Had a intervention from a friend and got off the Gas Grill addiction. Now I have a couple Performers  - just picked up a 1992 SSP this morning and the ash sweep is not able to be saved. What is the secret to finding a new one?

Congrats and welcome.  The 1992 ash sweep with the thumbscrew is an old design which is not made anymore.  You can buy new ash sweeps on Amazon but they have to be modified to fit the old style ash bucket.

Welcome from Doraville Ga. as Michael stated above.
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Welcome from Kalona, IA. Maybe someone here will have an extra old style one you could talk them out of.

Welcome from Huntsville, AL.  Charcoal is the way, but don’t toss out that gasser.  Nothing wrong with firing it up for a quick cook or keeping food warm.
