Pecan is the traditional wood. I smoked for a couple of hours, dehydrated until dried, and then ground. I then used the chipotle powder in my rubs. Be safe, make sure you have proper fire extinguisher!Sent from my iPhone using Weber Kettle Club
Cut ripe peppers in half. cut side up in the smoker. Smoke for a couple hours and dry in the dehydrator. I add Serrano peppers to the mix to kick up the heat.
