Hey guys, I have been working on restoring this grill for the past 2.5 months and I wanted to share the finished result. I cleaned the kettle, fix some of the socket welds with screws and washers, refinished the aluminum legs, cleaned the triangle, refinished the wheels, and oiled the handle. I am pumped with how it turned out, and it was great to learn the skills to be able to do those things. I'm still waiting on the wheel caps to dry, and I still need to clean the ash pan but it's fun to see it put back together. These old grills are so beautiful. I want to thank everyone for all of the advice on this forum. So excited to fire her up and grill some food!

Very VERY nice job!  It still amazes me how these can stand the test of time and with some work and dedication can be like new again.  That first cook is going to be awesome!  RRR

Man, looks great!
Love that fade too. Is that the original grate?

Thank you so much everyone! Yes I can't believe it either - these grills can be totally neglected in the elements and then come back to life with a little love. Yes it's the original grate, the only thing I had to replace was charcoal baskets and charcoal grate. Now I just need something amazing to make for the first cook.

Really nice restoration job @teejhanson .  Don't see a lot of those high fade Caribbeans. To me, it looks like they have a halo.
