This is a philosophical question with no one correct answer, but it perfectly illustrates why we need so many different types/sizes of grills in our arsenal.
I’ve settled on the CGA for single day outings, and a shorty 18 for multi day camping if it’s just my wife and I. But if there’s even the remotest possibility of other friends and families joining us, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring a shorty 22” or 26” for multi-family gatherings.
PS, I do keep a CGA packed and ready with essentials in my SUV because you never know when you may be volun-told to be in charge of cooking duties.
